Loading indicator in UI5 application

During one of our development project, we created a small UI5 application. Due to the need to get a lot of data from external services, the startup time was increasing, resulting in a long wait for users before anything rendered on the screen. Waiting for the application to launch in front of a white screen without any information was feeling as a application failure.

We decided to add some loading indicator that is removed at the rendering stage.

ADS "Serious error during message processing"

Another post on a PDF generation problem.
Sometime during PDF generation by the ADS (ie from a form created with SFP), the response returned by the ADS is an error stating "error during message processing". 

This post describe how to get the cause of the error.

"SORT" is not stable !

Once in a while, you find something that challenge everything you thought you knew about a given subject. In may case I just found the the sort order using the default SORT ... BY X Y is not stable. That is, if you have several element with the same X and Y, they can be sorted in any order, and there is no guaranty that they will be sorted in the same way by consecutive sorts.

Changing the DataMatrix code size

Another (very) short article/news. This time about a problem when using Adobe LifeCycle in SAP (transaction sfp) : if you add a dataMatrix code to the page, the size of the code seems to be fixed. This article gives a very quick fix to this problem

oData date property cause an "invalid value" error

This small article is to describe a problem with some date property that arises during the creation of an oData entity : one date was generating an "invalid value" error (return code code 500). This was occurring after we filled the return structure, with the correct value.

Corrupted PDF Generation in ABAP

In our current project, we have to implement a stand-alone HR Renewal project, with the leave request management as the main application. We had a problem with the validation of a request. While the manager could accept or reject a leave request, it could not see the detail of the request.

Un de nos client a demandé des modifications de  l'écran standard  de login de ses  applications HR Renewal. Ces modifications  sont mineures (fond d'écran,  libellés...), mais la solution ayant pris  plus  de temps à être trouvée qu'à  être réalisée, je met en ligne  la méthode  employée.
